Hai il telefonino? Devo richiamare mio padre

[Soggetto] + [non] + verbo + [complemento]
This is the structure of the sentence in Italian, also called SVO (subject - verb - object). The negation is done with the particle 'NON'. This particle is ALWAYS placed before the verb. For example, I can say: "io oggi non vengo", or "compro una coca cola". In the first sentence there is a negation, while in the second sentence the subject is missing.
