Meaning

This structure uses the preposition 'DI' to create relationships between objects. For example, I can say, 'Ho degli occhiali di metallo.' In this case I assign to the glasses a material, that is metal. Or I can say: 'Ho la penna di Luca', in this case I assign the property of the pen to Luca. This operation is similar if I say: 'Ho un libro della biblioteca'. In this case the book is owned by the library.
