Il cibo precotto è orribile. Oggi facciamo la pizza. Anzi, due pizze!

[Non] + essere + (aggettivo / sostantivo)
This structure gives properties to the subject. Sometimes the subject is not written down and so it is said to be 'an implied subject'. For example I can say, 'questo quaderno è grande'. This sentence gives a dimension to the notebook. Moreover, this structure REPLACES THE NEUTRAL, which does not exist in Italian. For example I can say: 'Lo sai che è importante mangiare bene''. The verb 'is' in this case refers to the 'fact of eating well' and is the neuter.
